With a new year arriving at 24/7 House, and we are growing. We are very excited for the women’s new transition house. It is something that has been a couple of years in the planning. This has been the second most challenging undertaking we have ever attempted. “With God all things are possible.” It is finished!
After 1-year as in-house residents they will live for 6-months in “transition.” We believe this will allow for a better chance at a life of recovery.
What does “transition” mean? After a year under the structure of this recovery residence, our women will gradually be returned to society. While in transition the women may have a vehicle, cellphone, and some money. They will have additional freedoms such as attending AA/NA meetings of their choice, attend a church of their choice biweekly, and return to their home on weekends. They will be subject to transition house rules and drug screenings.
24/7 House has kept the faith and is undeterred. I am reminded of 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. Thank you for your prayers and support.
