Third Phase: “Transition”
We are very honored and blessed to have expanded our program! We present to you; our men and women’s transition house!!! This has been the second most challenging undertaking we have ever attempted. “With God all things are possible.”
After one year as in-house residents they will live for six months in “transition.” We believe this will afford our residents a better opportunity for a chance at a life of recovery.
What does “transition” mean? After a year under the structure of our main recovery residence, our residents will then move to our secondary property where they will be gradually transitioned back into society. While residing in the transition house, we allow our residents to have a vehicle, cellphone, and some money. They will have additional freedoms such as; attending AA/NA meetings of their choice, be able to attend a church of their choice biweekly, and return to their home on weekends. They are still required to follow our transition house rules, be subject to drug screenings, sponsor other residents, and are held to a higher standard, as our senior residents.
24/7 House has kept the faith and is undeterred. I am reminded of 2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things have passed away; behold, all things become new.” Thank you for your prayers and support.
“Our future reality depends on what we do now in this present moment.”
